{"id":944,"date":"2010-03-20T07:00:19","date_gmt":"2010-03-20T06:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.christlutheranchurch.org.uk\/site\/?p=944"},"modified":"2010-02-20T12:03:46","modified_gmt":"2010-02-20T11:03:46","slug":"lent-devotions-2010-saturday-20-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.christlutheranchurch.org.uk\/site\/2010\/03\/20\/lent-devotions-2010-saturday-20-march\/","title":{"rendered":"Lent Devotions 2010: Saturday 20 March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>\u201cBe still and know that I am God.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>I will be exalted among the nations,<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>I will be exalted in the earth!\u201d\u00a0 Psalm 46:10<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Psalmist tells us not to worry and to rely on our faith that there is only one true God, our God.<\/p>\n<p>Faith is the basis of our belief in our salvation from the condemnation of our sins.\u00a0 We do not need to worry about it, as long as our faith in God remains strong.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>God has already offered us salvation from our sins, by the gift of His son Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross to pay the debt of mankind for its sin.\u00a0 Through Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven and all we need to do is have faith in salvation through Him.<\/p>\n<p>The Psalmist also reminds us that God is, and will be exalted, praised above all others, throughout\u00a0 all nations and all over the world.\u00a0 Let us continue to praise the Lord for His unending love towards us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heavenly Father, grant us peace through our faith in Your beloved Son Jesus Christ, and may the Holy Spirit work within us to share this wondrous gift with others.\u00a0 Then they will enjoy the peace and reassurance of Your Love as we do.\u00a0 Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cBe still and know that I am God.
